December 7, 2010StMU students took a break during “study week” to observe the vigil of the Immaculate Conception, to pray for wisdom on their final exams next week and to celebrate the spirit of Advent at Casa Maria, which was recently decorated for the Christmas season. Following a spaghetti dinner, snow-white Mexican wedding cookies were served to commemorate two of St. Mary’s upcoming feast days (Immaculate Conception on Dec. 8 and Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patroness of the Americas, on Dec. 12).
